2007 JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes

Today was the JDRF walk in AZ! My Mom, Sister, Aaron and I joined in the fun. We walked around Tempe Town Lake. Albertson's provided both breakfast and lunch. Gold Canyon Candles gave gift bags when we came back into the park. The generous donations of the large companies is wonderful!

They estimated that there were 25,000 walkers and we raised $2.2 million. We have now become the biggest JDRF walk, surpassing Sydney, Australia. It is truly amazing all the stories you hear. They are tear jerking to say the least. THANK YOU to all who donated to help such an important cause. A cure for diabetes became even more important when I was diagnosed in January 2006 with Type 1. A cure IS within reach and hopefully we will see it in our lifetime! Hopefully every step, every donation will bring us a little closer.

Again, my heartfelt thanks to all who donated to help reach toward that cure!
