Some Stars just shine brighter than the rest . . .

Just felt the need to post these: A great sibling, aunt, mom, grandma, great aunt, "substitute nana," . . . but most of all a good friend. You are a real influence on our small family and hold a very special place in all of our hearts. As for me, I will not forget your special yellow pages pin on the day I met you and I loved sharing a whiskey manhattan with you. God be with you.

Flower Sniffer

This story is too funny not to share. On Thursday evening while the babysitter, Kristina, was here Patrick thought he'd go outside. My Dad recently planted a few new plants in the yard. Patrick thought he'd smell one of the yellow flowers from one of the plants. However, he thought that picking it off the plant would be a great idea. He held it up to his nostril and sniffed. Well... guess where the flower ended up?!?!?! That's right, up his NOSE! So Kristina panicked and called Mike. Mike in turn called my Mom who threw her dinner into the car with her and drove on over. After searching to find a tweezers, while Kristina held him in her lap, Nana was able to pull the flower out. Thank goodness it came out in one whole piece or she could have spent a lot of time picking petals out of his nose. Patrick was much happier once it was over and hopefully learned a good lessson. Moral of the story: Never put flowers too close to your nose when sniffing! :)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone! We went to church this morning for an outdoor service. It was very nice, except there was WAY too much for Patrick to explore. Wish we could have heard a little more of the service. Came home to find his Easter "baskets" and search for the eggs outside. He was excited that the bunny came to his house. He had been determined that the Easter Bunny was going to be in church today. We will be having dinner with my Dad, sister, and Brett. No traditional dinner here. We are grilling steaks. Yummy!

Our Family - Mike Angie & Patrick

The Zamboni!!!!

Mike took Patrick to his first professional sporting event on April 8 - a Phoenix Coyote Hockey Game. They each got a free bobblehead of the goalie, Curtis Joseph - a UW graduate. Game was same night that UW Badger Hockey team won NCAA Championship which Mike and Patrick were able to watch from the Lexus Club screens.

Other free gifts given at the arena included sports bracelets and a small flashlight. Patrick also got a #1 foam finger.

Patrick was very excited when the zamboni came out after the first period. However, he got tired in second period and decided he had enough. It was a long but fun day anyway.

I don't know what I'm doing

Everyone has a blog and I was going to post to my sister's blog but it sent me to create our own blog. So here it is - pretty great, huh.
