Six Weeks Old Today

Aaron is sporting some of his Harley Davidson clothing. He received his onesie from his Godfather, Dan and the booties are from his Great Uncle Bernie and Great Aunt Teri. The onesie reads "If you can read this, the bib fell off". Too cute. Had to share these photos. All the Harley lovers will appreciate it!

Aaron is 6 weeks old today. Seems unreal. He certainly is growing. What a precious blessing we have. It was the first day without "help" around. Mom and Dad Obert headed out this morning. It was wonderful having them around. It was weird to not have them here today. But as the day is coming to a close I can say that we "MADE IT!" Although dinner still hasn't been made. Oh well.

MEMORIAL DAY

We decided for our last outing with mom & dad we'd go for a boat ride on the Dolly Steamboat on Canyon Lake. It was a scenic, narrated tour. Sometimes you are able to see different wildlife. We saw some birds and ducks, but that was it. It was a beautiful and peaceful ride though. It was the first boat ride for both boys. They both did very well. Patrick thought it was Grandpa's boat! This was rather amusing.

Children had to wear life jackets. Patrick wore his well. Aaron didn't have to keep his on, but we decided we needed a picture with him in his jacket anyway. He certainly didn't want it on and let us know very quickly!

Canyon Lake

Grandpa holds Aaron in an interesting way. Looks as if Aaron is practicing his kick. Look out, he's got the punching down. Most of the time his hands are in fists. Patrick has gotten the fist in the nose a couple times and I'm sure it was well deserved!

Patrick had to check out the lake. He was mad that we didn't bring his suit along. He was determined to get in the water at least a little bit.

Had to get a family photo at the lake. It sure was a fun time.

Tortilla Flat

After being at the lake, we drove up a little farther to Tortilla Flat. It was a great time of the day to be up there as there were very few cars, which meant good parking spots. We had ice cream ~ yummy! Hung out there for awhile. Patrick had to get some of those candy buttons that I remember eating as a child. We headed home after this and stopped at OutBack for dinner. It was a very nice day!

San Tan Commencement ~ May 24th

San Tan Montessorri completed their first year this past week. Patrick's last day of school was on the 24th. He had a good first year of preschool. Parent/teacher conferences were held last week also. The report was good ~ lots of growth & a good role model.

Ready for the last day. Grandma & Grandpa took him to school.

San Tan commencement ceremonies were held the evening of the 24th. This was really for the preschoolers entering kindergarten & the kindergarteners entering 1st grade. Patrick & a handful of other preschoolers were there to receive special awards. He received a citizenship award. They said he was a good role model & very helpful to the younger students. We were proud. He sat on stage (sorry for the dark photo) & waved! They sang songs & presented awards & diplomas. Grandma & Grandpa Obert, Nana & Papa, Dobby, Mommy, Daddy, & Aaron were all there for this special event.

After the ceremony we headed to Red Robin for a celebration dinner. We are proud of you
Patrick!

More Baptism Photos

Today was a great day of celebrating Aaron and spending time with family and friends. We thank all of those that were able to be with us today as well as those who couldn't be here but had us in their thoughts.

Nana and Papa. Papa was touched to see that Aaron was wearing his baptismal outfit. What a neat way to add to the special day. I was very happy that we were able to have Aaron wear it.
Great Grandma (aka Dobby) and Aaron Michael. How proud and touched that he was wearing the outfit that my Dad wore for his baptism.
Auntie Mel was able to be a part of this special day in the life of Aaron.
Both sets of grandparents with the boys. A special photo to end a special day! Thank you everyone.

Aaron's Baptism

Aaron getting ready for his big day in Papa's baptismal outfit. He is ready to go and begin his special day. The baptism was held at 7:50am at Love of Christ. After the service we had brunch back at our house. (Mom O. - thanks so much for helping get all the food ready!) Thank you so much to all for being part of Aaron's special day. You truly are a blessing to us all!

Baptized at Love of Christ Lutheran Church by Pastor Thompson. Ron Beach, one of Aaron's godparents, was able to be a part of his special day. Thank you Ron! Aaron's other godparents who were unable to attend are: Linda and Dan Schuhmacher and Jackie Hein. We know you had us in your thoughts today. We so wish you could have been here!

I'm One Month Old Today

Aaron is one month old. It's hard to believe that much time has already passed. He had his 1 month checkup on Monday. All looks good. He now weighs 8 lbs 13 oz & is 21 1/4 inches. No shots were given, but he'll have five next month. :( Not looking forward to that. We set up his new Rainforest Activity gym. Right now Patrick seems more interested in it! Aaron did last a few minutes though.

Happy Mother's Day

We hope all the moms had a fabulous day. I truly am blessed with two precious boys. I couldn't ask for a better gift than that!Grandma and Aaron.
Nana and the boys.
Nana, Angie, Dobby (aka Grandma Saniter), & Grandma with the cake from Baskin Robbins. Yummy! We all had a steak dinner at my parents' house. Mel coordinated the dinner with some help from the guys. Thank you, it was wonderful.

Mother's Day at the Zoo

The baby orangutan and her Mom. A very neat sight on Mother's Day.
Grandma Obert, Patrick, Angie, and Aaron at the Phoenix Zoo.

They had a Mother's Day breakfast that morning sponsored by a local grocery store. They were supposedly able to feed 500. When we arrived we stood in line and then realized that it truly went on FOREVER. We weren't near the 500 mark I guess, but the line didn't move quickly so we decided it wasn't really worth it. We visited the animals and had a snack. We arrived about 9am and left around 1pm. It was a very nice morning. It really wasn't getting too hot until we were getting ready to leave. Then the heat was a little intense as it was over 100 degrees!
A view from inside the zoo.
Aaron's first visit at the zoo at almost one month old. He is "wearing" the hat that Patrick wore his first trip to the zoo, although he was 3 months old then and it fit a bit better.

Patrick got to play in the water area. He certainly had a good time.

Cactus Kids - It's Time for a Rodeo!

Patrick took Cactus Kids with Miss Kathi at the McQueen Park Activity Center this session. They studied desert plants and animals, read stories, made crafts, and got to be cowboys. On their last day, they all got to wear their "cowboy" outfits and made s'mores. They all had their horses too and parked them at the garbage can corral. They were all so cute. Even Aaron went along and wore his own cowboy outfit!
